Shared Journeys Birthparent Application for Assistance
How We Can Support You
At Shared Journeys, we offer two types of support for birth/first parents:
Supportive Programs — open to all birthparents, regardless of whether you are enrolled in case management services. This includes our virtual Connect Calls, Open Door Tuesdays, Book Club, retreats, Birthparent-to-Birthparent Mentorship Program, and our private Facebook community. Please note that many of these programs do require registration — but no case management application is needed to participate.
Case Management Services — one-on-one support with a dedicated case manager who will work with you to identify your needs, set goals, and connect you to resources and community. This is what the application below is for.
Not sure which is right for you? That's completely okay — reach out to us and we'll help you figure it out together.
Who Can Receive Support? Case management and community support is available to any individual who has placed a child for adoption — in any state, at any time. Whether you placed last year or twenty years ago, you are welcome here.
Who Can Apply? To maintain privacy and protect our clients, applications must be submitted by one of the following:
- A Birthparent Support Alliance member agency, attorney, or organization
- The birthparent themselves
- The birthparent's parent or legal guardian
How Do I Apply? Complete the application below. If you are unable to complete it online, please contact Jennifer Adams, Director of Case Management, at 773-273-9645 or jennifer@sharedjourneyscollective.org — we are happy to help.
We are so glad you are here. Taking this step takes courage, and we want to make the process as simple as possible. Please complete the form below and our team will be in touch soon. Everything you share is kept confidential.
